<p><strong>Emeren Group, a solar project developer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/emeren-group-sells-42-mw-solar-project-portfolio-in-spain/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the sale of a 42 MW ready-to-build solar project portfolio in Spain to CVE España</strong>, part of CVE, a French independent power producer. The portfolio comprises eight greenfield projects with capacities ranging from 5 MW to 6 MW. One project has already been closed, while the rest will be closed during Q3 and are classified as ready-to-build. Six projects are in Castilla-y-Leon, one in Comunidad Valenciana, and the last in Andalucia.</p>
<p><strong>Enfinity Global, a U.S.-based renewable energy project developer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/enfinity-global-secures-164-million-financing-for-solar-project-portfolio/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>closed</strong></a><strong> a $164 million (~JPY 26.24 billion) financing for a 250 MW solar PV project portfolio</strong> in Japan. Enfinity Global obtained the funding in partnership with Macquarie Capital and a syndicate led by Shinhan Asset Management. The portfolio comprises seven operating utility-scale solar projects and one project under construction, with an enterprise value of over $1 billion.</p>
<p><strong>CEE Group, a renewable energy asset management firm, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/cee-group-acquires-102-5-mw-solar-project-in-spain/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the acquisition of a 102.5 MW solar PV project in San Pedro del Pinatar in Murcia</strong>, a region in southern Spain, with its CEE Renewable Fund 8. The project is under construction and will be connected to the grid in the second half of 2025. The seller is a European corporation specializing in developing, constructing, and operating renewable energy projects.</p>
<p><strong>Public infrastructure finance company REC Limited has </strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/rec-200-million-loan-deutsche-bank" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>secured</strong></a><strong> a green loan of JPY31.96 billion (~$200 million) from Deutsche Bank‘s GIFT City branch</strong> to fund green projects in India. This green financing is one of the first JPY-denominated green loan transactions for Deutsche Bank at GIFT City.</p>
<p><strong>Actis’ SE Asia Renewables Platform Levanta Renewables, a renewable energy project developer and independent power producer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/levanta-renewables-acquires-139-4-mw-solar-portfolio-in-thailand/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the acquisition of a 90% controlling shareholding in a 139.4 MW operating solar project</strong> portfolio in Thailand. The company acquired the portfolio from Super Energy, a Thai renewable energy project developer, and its subsidiary, Super Energy Group.</p>
<p><strong>Akaysha Energy, an energy storage project developer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/akaysha-energy-secures-441-million-in-debt-financing-for-energy-storage-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>secured</strong></a><strong> A$650 million (~$440.92 million) in debt financing from a group of eleven domestic and foreign banks</strong>. The facility has a three-year tenor and will be used to construct the Orana Battery Energy Storage System project located near Wellington, NSW, within the Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone , Australia. Once operational, the project will add more than 1,660 MWh of storage capacity to the National Electricity Market.</p>

					</table><p><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/ntpc-supply-solar-modules-1255-mw-projects-gujarat" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>NTPC Renewable Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, has invited bids for the supply of 1.58 GW of crystalline solar bifacial modules with a minimum wattage output of 540 Wp for 1,255 MW</strong></a> projects at the Khavda Solar Park in the Kutch district of Gujarat. The modules will be supplied under the domestic content requirement (DCR) category. The last date to submit the bids is October 11, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/maharashtra-bids-1-mw-rooftop-solar-net-metering" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Maharashtra Energy Development Agency has invited bids for installing and commissioning 1.062 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on buildings located within the premises of the</strong></a> Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur. The projects will be developed under the net metering arrangement. The successful bidder will also have to take care of the project’s operation and maintenance for five from the date of the commissioning of the project.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/us-europe-drive-global-wind-turbine-orders-1h-2023" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Global wind turbine orders recorded a 12% year-over-year increase in the first half of 2023 with 69.5 GW of order activity, according to the global research and consultancy group Wood Mackenzie.</strong></a> The analysis by the group revealed the increased offshore order activity and the orders from outside of China driving the increase, up 47% year-over-year (YoY) increase to over 25 GW. Wind turbine orders in North America alone reached 7.7 GW, a 305% YoY jump from 1.9 GW. Of these, two offshore wind turbine orders in the region accounted for 49% of the total capacity.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/statkraft-expands-39-wind-farms-in-europe" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Norway-based renewable energy company Statkraft has acquired a substantial wind power portfolio from Breeze Two Energy, consisting of 39 operational wind farms, for the purchase price of NOK4.7 billion (~$443.2 million).</strong></a> The company said this marks a substantial addition to Statkraft’s European onshore wind power portfolio. The strategic acquisition, encompassing 337 MW of capacity, focuses on wind farms located in Germany and France.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/renewable-developer-five-year-high-in-q2-2023" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Utility-scale solar and battery storage projects developer Emeren Group recorded a net income of $8.3 million during the second quarter of 2023, marking the highest level seen in the past five</strong></a> years and accounting for a massive YoY improvement from a loss of $204,000. The surge in net income was attributed to solar and battery storage project execution in Europe. The company recorded a revenue of $33.85 million, a YoY increase of 312.3%, which was driven by strong contributions across all its business lines.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/bila-solar-announces-plant-in-indianapolis" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Bila Solar, a solar manufacturer based in the United States, has unveiled plans to establish a module manufacturing facility to produce 1 GW of advanced glassless, frameless solar modules annually.</strong></a> The production is expected to commence in the summer of 2024. The company will invest over $35 million in the renovation of a 150,000-square-foot facility located in White River Parkway East Drive, Indianapolis.</p>
